ALTRUSA SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

The Altrusa scholarship aims to help a student who has a community focus, and who has a commitment to a specific tertiary education course, by awarding a scholarship of $2000 to assist with accommodation the first year at a Halls of Residence at the location of study.

 

KEYSTONE TRUST SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION

Study Award Scholarships are available for school leavers looking at entering the property and construction sector, that meet our eligibility criteria and will be taking up their first year of tertiary studies. Our Keystone scholarships not only come with $15,000 paid over three years but also include mentoring, work opportunities and guidance along the  way.

FORESTRY SCHOLARSHIPS

Ngā Karahipi Uru Rākau – Forestry Scholarships are now open, for study beginning in the 2022 academic year.

Applications opened 1 June and close 15 August 2021.

What do recipients receive?

The scholarships are valued at $8,000 per year for degree study, or $6,500 per year for diploma study and also include paid summer internship(s) in Te Uru Rākau – New Zealand Forest Service or the forestry sector.

Te Uru Rākau – New Zealand Forest Service is committed to creating greater diversity across forestry and wood processing.

There are nine scholarships available and we especially want to hear from applicants who are Māori or identify as female enrolling in a:

  • Bachelor of Forestry Science at University of Canterbury or
  • Diploma in Forest Management at Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology (New)

Scholarships are also available for all applicants enrolling in a:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) specialising in Forest Engineering at the University of Canterbury.

There will be three scholarships awarded per qualification.  All applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents.
